About Vincent Cruège

Vincent Cruege’s passion for the science of wine was passed down in his genes.

Born in Bordeaux to a chemist father and an oenologist mother, his path was largely predestined. After graduating a degree in oenology from Bordeaux university, he started his career as a professional winemaker at Andre Lurton’s château La Louvière. Over his 34 career, he has managed many prestigious Bordeaux estates. Renowned for his open mindedness and sensitivity to nature, Vincent has received critical acclaim for his work in both vineyard and winery, where he produces wines known for their finesse and longevity. He currently manages several Grand Cru Classés estates in Saint-Émilion and Sauternes for a Swiss investor who also owns the Lalique crystal works.

He has also worked on vineyards far from France

Such as those in Chile and New Zealand, which have shaped his aesthetic sensibilities and critical perspective.
Indeed, after returning from a harvest trip to Oceania, Cruege felt an unconscious desire to apply his passion for natural landscapes to something new. The pebbles, some of which he collected from his vineyards, became the first canvases for his joyful and colorful paintings, which combine both mineral and solar elements.

Paintings on canvas or other media followed

Cruege strives to make his work accessible to a broad audience; for that reason, his work has been exhibited everywhere from fine dining restaurants to wine estates. Hypnotic and immersive, the interplay of form and color become odes to the harmonies of nature.
